Snow Ice-Cream

After Monday's snowfall, I suddenly remembered a post from a long while back at Restoration Place - Snow Ice-cream! We mixed up the milk, sugar and vanilla:We fetched some clean snow (from on top of a bush. Most of the snow is a bit mucky now!):

We beat the snow into our mixture:

We spooned it into bowls, with colourful hundreds and thousands:
We ate and enjoyed!
Thanks Kathy!

Fantastic Gaynor - hopefully we might get some more snow and I can pinch this how much sugar/eggs did you use?

just realised I meant to say milk not eggs!

It was a cup of milk and 1/2 to 3/4cup of sugar and some vanilla. Check out the link to Kathy's blog to see pictures of her ice-cream in pretty bowls!

Oh, yum! The children look so happy! Mine are hoping for another fresh load of snow so we can do it again...the 4yo keeps insisting that 3 day old snow will work just as well, but I'm sort of queasy about that option.:-)
